Congratulations should you decide to order/purchase a custom riding boot. Our custom riding boots are top quality items made by selected experienced suppliers in crafting your boots that will last you a long time.

The measurements we take at a custom fitting are inches/cm that your foot/leg measures at the time we take the measurements. As custom riding boots have a delivery time of roughly eight to sixteen weeks, measurements on your foot/leg can change – for instance through more riding after we take your measurements and therefore increase in muscle development and calf circumference. Similar changes might happen in other areas of your foot.

As this is an un-predictable change in measurements, we kindly ask you at the time you order your boots to sign a waiver as an acknowledgement of this fact. We are sorry but we and our supplier cannot be held responsible for changes in measurements.

A Word About Zippers

Zippers are devices that make it possible or easier to put on garments, shoes or to close and open luggage and containers.

Specifically on riding boots – short and especially tall riding boots – they help getting your foot in and out of your boots.

When opening and closing a zipper always pull up or down as close as possible to the “teeth” without a piece of string or leather pulled through the opening at the tab. It is easy that way to apply too much force therefore bending the teeth or actually pulling the zipper apart instead of properly opening or closing it. Please also make sure that no lining, thread or other foreign objects are caught in the teeth.

In tall riding boots a zipper is inherently the weakest point as it cannot take the pressure force exerted horizontally past a certain “pull” especially for an extended period.

Zippered boots – or boots without zippers - that are too tight can in most cases be made a bit wider through professional stretching (done on premises*) or can in some instances be made wider through extensions in the zipper area. This solution has to be evaluated in each individual case and might not be possible for every boot.

Zippers will also weaken in time at the point where a high shaft develops the wrinkle or drop in and around the ankle area. This is not a manufacturing defect or faulty zipper.

Dust, hair and skin oils combine and work like an abrasive paste, weakening the teeth of zippers. We recommend that zippers used in a barn/horse/riding environment should be cleaned after each use and a gliding agent like candle wax or a specially formulated silicone spray should be applied.

In view of the intended use of riding boots and the environments they are being used in, it is better to purchase boots without a zipper as it will eliminate the need to properly care for a zipper and the inevitable fact that zippers – depending on how much you use you boots – have to be replaced sometimes more frequently than once a year. The same principle applies to soles. This is not a warranty issue or defective merchandise but necessary maintenance.

We will gladly process zipper replacement and any other boot maintenance like sole replacement for you.

Boots have to be brought or sent to us, cleaned and free of any debris.
