The Sprenger Rubber Single Jointed Pelham is a single jointed bit made with soft yet durable rubber. It enables precise and effective rein aids due to acting on the tongue, poll and lower jaw. The leverage effect on the poll can be varried with different rein options. This bit is often used with bit converters or two reins. The curb chain should come into play at a maximum angle of 45 degrees to limit the poll pressure. Compared to metal bits, rubber bits are softer and should not get in contact with the teeth of your horse. Sprenger rubber bits have a steel cable to provide more security and to prevent chewing through the bit.
