Antares Precision Galaxy Wide Eclipse Brim Helmet
The shape of this helmet has been designed to meet the new safety standard criteria. The helmet is stronger as it has thicker edges on the lower rim of the shell. As they are made from polycarbonate, the helmet has high-impact resistance when it suffers compression. The Precision riding helmet has been designed to better cover the temples and behind the ears, and also protects the temporal and parietal bones.
The ventilation system has been designed with 11 holes, 3 at the front, and 8 at the back, along with 2 air ducts under the visor to offer good airflow. The washable liner is made from foam, Lycra, and 2D mesh which is breathable and comfortable. The elastic strap on the back of the helmet helps take pressure off the rider’s head for added comfort, while also allowing for a flexible hairstyle such as a dressage bun, or ponytail. The fastening system is extremely user-friendly, allowing it to be done up with one hand. The Fidlock Magnetic Buckle is easy to fasten, and the nylon lock ring offers another layer of protection.

Additional details below regarding the safety aspects of this helmet.
The Precision helmet line combines high-tech materials with a unique and innovative safety system. It meets the new European EN 1384: 2023 standard that has been introduced for riding helmets, addressing changes in our sport whether the rider in is or out of the saddle. To ensure your safety, the new standard has assessed how well a riding helmet performs when hit my a horseshoe or other similar sharp objects. This tighter regulation was designed to simulate various accidental scenarios that may occur during equine-related activities, to check the ability of the helmet to reduce the number of potential injuries.
The Precision helmets are developed to incorporate not only greater technical safety and comfort for all riders, but also offers a show ring-ready helmet so you can look and feel your best. The shell is made from Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is thicker and purposefully developed for riding helmets to disperse energy when hit. ABS is highly scratch and impact-resistant, so even if there are no visible scratches after a fall, it is important to refresh your gear.
The interior of the Antares Precision Helmet shell is strategically padded with Energy Reduction Technology inserts to offer better shock absorption when the helmet is struck or compressed. These blue honey-comb shaped foam inserts help to dissipate the energy from an impact. As most often, falls occur while you are moving, ERT and its foam padding in the helmet liner slip under the shell of your riding helmet to support the movement of your head, reducing rotational movement and therefore reducing head injuries.
