Breyer Gypsy Vanner

Colour, personality and lots of hair! The beautiful Gypsy Vanner, was created by the Gypsies and bred to be both beautiful and useful. They originated in the United Kingdom serving as a mode of transportation. They needed to be strong and able to pull large wagons in caravans while still kind enough to be around the children. Like small draft horses, the Gypsy Vanners have heavy feathering on their legs, and have lush manes and tails. Many colours and patterns can be found including piebald (black and white tobiano), skewbald (combinations of brown, red and white including tri-coloured tobiano), and blagdon (solid colour with white splashed up from underneath). Gypsy Vanners were first imported into the USA in 1996 and has been growing in popularity ever since. The sturdy intelligent breed is still used for driving, as well as being used as a riding mount. They can be found on the trail and in the show ring. The Breyer Gypsy Vanner is built on a Traditional 1:9 scale.
