It sits farther back in the mouth, taking up very little room, while still offering a broad, smooth weight-bearing surface. This bit works to clarify and enhance your rein aids and has been proven to eradicate many tongue evasions which help promote happy relaxed acceptance. The Neue Schule Salox Gold offers a neutral taste and is warm and soft which encourages the horse to be soft in the mouth. This material has been engineered to allow horses to bite onto the bit without reflecting the energy created back onto the teeth. The bevel ring helps the horse flex and round over the bit in order to achieve a true outline. It offers extra control and is a step up from a snaffle bit.
